Auskick & Under 8's in 2010

The Nunawading FC will in 2010 field a junior team in the EFL, as the club takes a different approach to recruiting for the future.

Unlike the majority of EFL clubs who are able to draw on players from a junior feeder club, Nunawading have been reliant on external recruiting for a number of years. Despite not being able to develop their own players through a junior club, the Lions have regularly been part of the finals action but have been looking at other ways in which to supplement their end of year recruiting.

While it might seem a long way into the future that young Lions recruits will be part of the senior club, by developing an Auskick centre over the last two years, Nunawading in 2009 provided an introduction to footy for 59 aspiring AFL footy players.
